What an affiliate link is

When you click a link to a retailer on this site and go on to buy something, we may receive a commission from that retailer. The price you pay is the same either way — the commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your total.

Outbound commercial links on this site carry rel="sponsored" and open in a new tab, so both you and search engines can tell what kind of link it is.

What it does not change

Commission does not decide what gets recommended or how anything is ranked. Products are shortlisted before retailers are attached to them, and a pick that no programme pays for is published exactly the same way as one that does.

If a product we recommend turns out to be worse than we thought, the recommendation changes — regardless of what it earns.

Programmes we participate in

Pickvale participates in affiliate programmes operated by retailers and networks. Replace this paragraph with the specific programmes you join — several, including the Amazon Associates Programme, require particular wording to appear here.
